Well they are in.... Ontario Rental Increase Guidelines

So for 2022 in Ontario the increase is 1.2 per cent, this is based on the Ontario Consumer Price Index (CPI). This is the maximum most landlords can raise a tenant's rent without the approval of the Landlord and Tenancy Board (LTB).

This applies to most residential rental accommodations covered by the Residential Tenancies Act. Exemptions apply to items such as: Social housing, long-term care homes, commercial properties and if the building was occupied for the first time after November 15, 2018. Review the act to see if you are exempt.

Landlords may raise rent with written 90 days notice using the correct form from the Landlord & Tenancy Board. For additional details on this visit the Landlord and Tenancy Board.
